I remember the first time I created a web page, I had followed the instructions, created the structure, typed into the text editor- not quite able to visualize my destination. It felt like a puzzle and I was putting pieces in places and then moving them again. I had been an artist working with paints and colours, I was used to seeing the brush strokes and the results of those brush strokes immediately. This was a unique experience to me but then we opened the document in our browsers, ..I was amazed! It felt like magic, I had put in the spells, mixed the cauldron and summoned the magic!! It was the start of a whole new perspective of creativity. Fast forward to 3 years 7 months and approx. 7 days later where and I am developing responsive, functional and creative web projects. I understand as a developer things are constantly progressing therefore I know I will never be 100% in any technology however, I feel I am confident in using the skills I have gained through self-teaching, courses, practice and the hard graft I have done.
I am confident in researching , learning and adapting to new experiences and technologies and I believe this is a skill that is vital to my journeyas a web developer. I believe this comes natural to me and this is evident in my current position where the systems and technologies are ever changing. For example, as a Notice Processing Officers legislation can be changed, even in the most minimal way but this can change the process of said legislation and thus requiring changing directions or adapting to a new series of processes.
Find Out MoreA recent project created with the new Boostraps 4.0-Beta, animate.css and a bit of Javascript. A concept website the brief was to build a landing page to act as a hub for the business, with clear calls to action, advertise business/ services. I began with a clear focus on clean and semantic code, user experience and attractive , creative and engaging concept/ideas. There were no themes used and it is mobile responsive and looks good on desktop/laptops, tablets and mobile devices.
An Accountancy Concept Website, I used HTML, CSS, JavaScript & JQuery for the smooth scrolling. The logos were created using PS & Illustrator. I also added the Google API maps to show location of the offices
A fan based tribute page. I used HTML, CSS, Premier pro, PSD to create the different assets..
